Purpose : for filleting fresh, chilled or thawed, decapitated mackerel, horse mackerel and other species of fish similar in geometric shape and is used to work on fish processing vessels of an unlimited navigation area and coastal enterprises of the fishing industry.

The previously decapitated fish is fed into an inclined tray with its back up (depending on the thickness of the fish, the tray is adjustable in width). Under the influence of its own weight, the fish slides towards the orientator, above which there are two paired conical discs of the fish feed mechanism. The discs move the fish to the abdominal knife and to the spreader.
The abdominal knife is used to rip open the abdominal cavity of the fish and cut the rib bones from the spinal bone.
The spreader is designed to guide the fish when feeding it onto the cup knife. When the fish moves, the abdomen opens.
The cup knife is used for cutting the rib bones.
The filleting knife is intended for cutting the spinal bone together with the dorsal and caudal fins.
